READ BEFORE DOWNLOADING

Case It is a native Windows application, but it will run on Macs if additional software is installed – see links to instructions below.  Mac users need to identify their operating system before downloading, as installation is different for Catalina compared to earlier Mac operating systems.

Case It v7.0.4 – released 5/19/20. This version works in conjunction with the new online CRISPR exercises. It includes all of the features of v7.0.3 below. Please report any issues with this new software to mark.s.bergland@uwrf.edu.

Case It v7.0.3 – released 8/11/18. This version has been extensively class-tested, but is not suitable for use with the new CRISPR exercises as it lacks required features for that exercise, such as the ability to work with plasmid DNA.

Important! Both versions require that the Case It executable (Case It v7.0.4.exe or Case It v7.0.3) be run from inside the Case It folder. Nothing should be removed from that folder, as the executable must access files in that folder to run properly.

Download Case It v7.0.4 and Wine Stable 2.0.3  + XQuartz 2.7.1  and then follow these instructions.

Macs running Catalina (Mac OS 10.15): 
Download Case It v7.0.4 and then follow these instructions.
