Running an expression microarray with Case It v705

The Chip button is used to open an Expression chip file, as shown below.

Open the file Expr tutorial.csv that is inside the folder Cases -> Microarray cases -> expression microarrays.

Components of the file are visible in the Opened & processed window, but the microarray is not loaded yet. Click the Load button, as indicated by the white message above the button.

Yellow dots appear (called ‘features’). Only 64 of the possible 96 dots show up, because that is the amount of data in this particular file.

Click the Chip button and select Run chip. The microarray will appear, with thumbnails above it. You can either click a thumbnail or a line in the Opened & processed window to navigate. Watch the video tutorial for a detailed description on how to interpret expression microarrays.
