Science Case Network meeting

Published on March 12, 2013 by in News

In collaboration with the ASM Conference for Undergraduate Educators: 20 Years of Vision, Change, & Leadership, the Science Case Network is hosting a special one day event on furthering the use of cases and problem-based learning (PBL) to engage students in active learning and implement other Vision & Change recommendations.  This networking meeting will take place on Thursday, May 16, prior to the start of the ASMCUE conference. Breakout sessions for experienced case users as well as those new to cases and PBL will be included.

Attendance at ASMCUE is not required to attend the Science Case Network meeting. There is no registration fee, and lodging and meals for May 15 and 16 will be provided. Additional travel support is available (U.S. travelers only).  We encourage those with experience in case-based learning to submit a poster on using cases or PBL in their courses, their case project, or their research on the use of cases. Posters submitted electronically will be published on the Science Case Network web site.

If you are attending ASMCUE, consider arriving in Colorado one day earlier to attend this event.  Even if you are not attending ASMCUE, we invite you to join us for this one-day meeting.  More information and registration is at

The Science Case Network is supported by NSF RCN-UBE grant #1062049. This project supports a community of science educators, learners, researchers, developers, and professional organizations interested in furthering the accessibility, development, and use of cases and problem based learning in science education.
